Highlights & Route
Kashi rewards those who start before the sun. This full-day visit is built around the natural rhythm of the city: the river at dawn, the temples in the morning while the lanes are still cool, a long lunch and rest in the heat of the day, and the riverfront again at dusk for the Ganga Aarti. In one day you see what most pilgrims come to Varanasi for, without feeling rushed.
The morning begins with a rowing boat along the ghats, from the burning ghat at Manikarnika to Dashashwamedh, watching the city wake up and bathe. We then walk into the Kashi Vishwanath corridor for darshan of the Jyotirlinga, and to the shrines of Annapurna and Vishalakshi close by, before driving to Kaal Bhairav, the guardian deity of the city whom many Kashi pilgrims visit first or last.
After lunch and a rest, the second half is the southern temples: Sankat Mochan Hanuman, Tulsi Manas Mandir where the Ramcharitmanas is carved on the walls, the New Vishwanath temple on the Banaras Hindu University campus and the unusual Bharat Mata temple with its relief map of India. The day ends on the steps of Dashashwamedh Ghat as the lamps are raised for the aarti. A private AC vehicle and our coordinator stay with you throughout.

Good to know before you book
- Kashi Vishwanath opens for Mangala Aarti around 3 am and general darshan runs through the day until the Shayan Aarti at night, with a break for the midday Bhog Aarti. Queues are shortest in the early morning.
- Phones, cameras, bags and leather items cannot be taken inside Kashi Vishwanath; lockers are at the gates.
- Sugam Darshan (paid, shorter queue) is sold only on the trust’s official website and is stopped on big festival days such as Mahashivratri and Shravan Mondays.
- The Ganga Aarti timing follows sunset: roughly 6 pm in winter and 7 pm in summer. Boats are not allowed when the river is in flood.
- Vehicles cannot enter the old city; the last stretch to the temple and the ghats is on foot through lanes, around 10 to 15 minutes each way.
- Lunch is not included so that you can choose; Varanasi has excellent pure-vegetarian thalis and the famous Banarasi chaat and lassi.
