Haridwar Kumbh 2027: Official Logo, Website and Anthem Out

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the official logo, website and anthem of Haridwar Kumbh 2027 on Monday, 12 October 2026, at the auditorium of the Mela Control Building in Haridwar. The official website, haridwarkumbh.uk.gov.in, is meant to give devotees authentic information about the mela, which is scheduled from 14 January to 20 April 2027. Nine cabinet ministers and senior mela and district officials attended.

“The state government is committed to organising a divine and grand Kumbh Mela-2027,” the Chief Minister said at the launch.

Snan dates already announced

The mela administration announced ten snan dates in April 2026. The three Amrit Snans, when the akharas bathe in procession, are on 6 March (Mahashivratri), 8 March (Phalgun Amavasya) and 14 April (Mesh Sankranti) 2027. The other snan days are 14 January (Makar Sankranti), 6 February (Mauni Amavasya), 11 February (Basant Panchami), 20 February (Magh Purnima), 7 April (Nav Samvatsar), 15 April and 20 April (Chaitra Purnima).

Preparations on the ground

In April 2026 the Chief Secretary inspected ghat works from Kamdhenu Ghat to Singh Dwar and at Bairagi Camp, where ramps for elderly and disabled yatris, changing rooms and sanitation are planned, along with new bridges over the Pathri Rao, road widening, the Haridwar bypass and a command and control centre using IT and AI for monitoring.

What it means for yatris

  • Use the official website for traffic plans, parking, snan-day rules and any registration the mela may introduce. Be wary of unofficial sites selling “Kumbh passes”.
  • Amrit Snan days are the most crowded. Families with seniors may prefer an ordinary snan day, which carries the same Kumbh punya by tradition.
  • Book stays early in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Dehradun for February–April 2027.
