Kashi, Prayagraj & Ayodhya Yatra (4 Nights)

5 Days

Highlights & Route

Kashi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya sit close enough to each other that a single, unhurried road yatra can cover all three. This 4-night, 5-day yatra begins and ends in Varanasi, so you need only one return train or flight. In between, a private AC vehicle carries you from the Ganga ghats to the Sangam and on to the Saryu, with a night halt in each city.

Varanasi gets two nights. That allows a dawn boat ride past the ghats, a proper darshan at Kashi Vishwanath, the Vishalakshi Shakti Peeth and Annapurna temples nearby, and an afternoon at Sarnath where the Buddha gave his first sermon. Prayagraj is about the holy dip where Ganga and Yamuna meet, followed by the reclining Hanuman at the Bade Hanuman Mandir. Ayodhya brings the yatra to a close with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhavan, and an evening at the Saryu ghats.

We plan this circuit for mixed-age family groups. Each day has one main temple visit and one driving stretch of three to four hours at most, with time for rest in the afternoon. Meals are pure vegetarian breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Tell us about anyone who walks slowly or needs a ground-floor room, and we will adjust the plan before you travel.

Route

Varanasi (2 nights) → Sarnath (day visit) → Prayagraj (1 night) → Ayodhya (1 night) → Varanasi drop

Good to know before you book

  • Phones, cameras and bags are not allowed inside Kashi Vishwanath Dham or the Ram Mandir premises. Both have locker counters near the entry gates; carry only an ID card and a little cash.
  • Kashi Vishwanath’s paid Sugam Darshan and aarti tickets are sold only through the temple trust’s own website. Do not pay anyone at the gate for a quick darshan.
  • Ram Mandir darshan is free. Aarti passes are also free and issued by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust; walk-in darshan is possible without a pass.
  • The Sangam boat ride, personal pujas and Sarnath museum tickets are paid locally and are not part of the package price.
  • Crowds peak on Shravan Mondays, Mahashivratri, Dev Deepawali, Ram Navami and during the Magh Mela (January–February) at Prayagraj. Expect longer queues on these dates.
  • Summer (April–June) is very hot in this belt; October to March is the comfortable season for walking the ghats.

Yatra Highlights

  • Kashi Vishwanath darshan with a sunrise boat ride on the Ganga
  • Holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj
  • Ram Lalla darshan at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, Ayodhya
